(a) The manufacturer shall conduct one valid test in accordance with the test procedures specified in Sec. 205.54 of this subpart for each vehicle selected for testing pursuant to this subpart.
(b) No maintenance will be performed on test vehicles except as provided for by Sec. 205.57-3. In the event a vehicle is unable to complete the emission test, the manufacturer may replace the vehicle. Any replacement vehicle will be a production vehicle of the same configuration as the replaced vehicle. It will be randomly selected from the batch sample and will be subject to all the provisions of these regulations.
